More Room to Grow: New Homesites and Ricestead on the Horizon at Grange
More neighbors. More possibilities. More places to come together. With hundreds of homes sold and more than 500 residents calling Grange home, our Katy community is growing into its next chapter.
This next phase brings 483 new homesites expected to be delivered to builders by the end of 2026, along with a December groundbreaking planned for Ricestead—the 20-acre gathering place envisioned as the heart of Grange.
A Little More Space for Your Next Chapter
Finding a home that fits your life is personal. Whether you’re putting down roots or looking for more room for a growing family, Grange’s newest homesites will offer even more possibilities.
Homesites in this phase range from 40 to 85 feet wide, introducing larger 70-, 75- and 85-foot options to the community. Also new are homesites designed for alley-access garages, bringing a different approach to the streetscape and home design.
“This is an exciting new chapter and a natural progression in our development of Grange,” said Jacob W. Rice, Vice President and General Manager of Grange. “The demand is there for larger homesites which will allow our residents to move into more spacious homes within the community as their family needs dictate.”
The next phase includes 40-foot homesites from Highland Homes and J. Patrick Homes; 45-foot homesites from David Weekley Homes and Newmark Homes; and 50-foot homesites from Chesmar Homes and Perry Homes.
Drees Custom Homes and Westin Homes will offer homes on 55-foot homesites, while Highland Homes and Perry Homes will build on 60-foot homesites. Highland Homes and Partners in Building will introduce 60-foot homesites with alley-access garages, and J. Patrick Homes and Partners in Building will offer the new 70-, 75- and 85-foot homesites.
Together, these additions give homebuyers more ways to find their place at Grange—and give current neighbors opportunities to make their next move within the community they already love.
Meet You at Ricestead
Imagine meeting a neighbor for coffee, spreading out a blanket for a concert or browsing a farmers market on the village green. That’s the vision for Ricestead.
Crews are expected to break ground in December, with construction anticipated to conclude spring of 2028. Designed as a modern-day town square, the 20-acre destination will bring recreation, gathering spaces and events together, with boutique retail planned for a future phase.
“We view Ricestead as a modern-day town square where businesses and residents become true partners,” Rice said. “We envision people meeting for coffee, shopping local merchants and attending a concert or farmers market at the village green. Ricestead will move Grange from being a neighborhood to becoming a hometown.”
Plans include a resort-style pool and separate lap pool, an open-air pickleball and basketball pavilion with six courts, and Harvest Hall, a clubhouse featuring a fitness center and co-working space. A large village green will create room for community traditions and everyday connections.
