Hometown Hub Coming to Grange

Heads up! Ricestead, a new hometown hub, is coming to Grange. Breaking ground next year, the approximate 20-acre combined amenity and commercial district is sure to become a space where stories are swapped, cookie recipes exchanged, and taking a coffee break has a whole new meaning.
Inspired by Texas’ charming town squares and Katy’s rich history, Ricestead will be proof that vintage vibes and modern perks can co-exist. Weathered facades, exposed wood beams, metal accents softened by shaded porches, and string-lit courtyards will create a sense that Ricestead has been part of our hometown forever while still offering all the modern amenities you’ve come to expect.
Among those amenities will be a vast, communal lawn that encourages families, neighbors, and friends to stop and stay awhile, whether to spread a blanket for an impromptu picnic or rock out to a local band. Farmers markets, seasonal celebrations, and yoga on the lawn will all have their place, making Ricestead a vibrant spot where you’ll be able to relax, connect, and recharge.
Sitting off the green will be Harvest Hall where the community will gather for Father-Daughter dances, wellness fairs, holiday parties, and crafting get-togethers. Gym rats will love the approximate 2,500-square-foot fitness center, while productivity pros can claim their throne in the co-working spaces. When it’s time to cool off, head to the pool courtyard where you’ll be able to choose from cannonballs in the resort-style pool or leisurely breaststrokes in the lap pool.
Nearby, residents can challenge each other to pickleball competitions. With six covered courts, there will be no waiting when it comes to asserting your pickleball dominance. Not feeling competitive? Our trails will beckon for a quick walk or jog around the lake. Kids will have their space, too, with a fantastic playground.
It’s not just about perks, though. Ricestead is about connection and convenience. And what could be more convenient than the local shops lining Franz Road? That’s the vision. We imagine residents will frequent the coffee shop that will have your order ready when you walk through the door, that a shop owner might be your next-door neighbor, and teens will discover their new favorite hangout.
It's all coming soon and will be waiting for you when you make the move to Grange.
