Grange Spotlight: Humble Grounds

If you’re on the hunt for more than just a caffeine fix, let us introduce you to Humble Grounds Coffeehouse, a place where every sip, every smile, and every connection feels meaningful.

Born out of a desire to foster community and inspired by the values of kindness, love, and fellowship, this faith-based coffee shop is the brainchild of Becca and Garrett Speed.

As proud parents of three kids and active participants in their church, Becca and Garrett infuse every aspect of their business with a sense of purpose. They’re passionate about giving back, mentoring others, and supporting local nonprofits, and their dedication shines through everything Humble Grounds does.

Here you’ll find curated shelves featuring stationery, paper goods, and local artwork reflecting the shop’s commitment to supporting the community. This isn’t just a coffee shop; it’s a hub for connection, whether you’re catching up with friends, mentoring someone, or simply enjoying a quiet moment.

But we really should talk about the menu, which is an eclectic mix of crowd-pleasers and creative drinks such as the Brown Sugar Whip Espresso or Cookie Butter Whip Espresso. And don’t forget to check out their seasonal offerings, like the springtime Blueberry Matcha or Lavender Honey Latte. Non-coffee drinkers, don’t worry; there are plenty of teas, smoothies, and even a puppy latte for your furry friend.

Did we mention that the coffee beans are roasted in-house and available for purchase?

Humble Grounds’ food menu is just as thoughtfully crafted. Their breakfast tacos were voted Best of Katy in 2025 for a reason, and their paninis are perfect for a midday pick-me-up. Pair your meal with a treat from a local vendor, like the delicious S’mores Cookie from Sugarberry Cookie Shoppe or freeze-dried snacks from Space City Snacks.

Need space for a party, meeting, Bible study session, or other group gathering? Humble Grounds has you covered with two event spaces.

The Humble Hideaway provides a unique, quiet space for you to gather up to 25 people.

For larger groups you can rent the Gathering Grounds for an after-hours party. Menu options available include the Humble Grounds catering menu, as well as a small bites menu offered by Taste & See Kitchen. Outside food and drinks may be brought in.

So, if you’re craving not only quality coffee but also a sense of belonging, Humble Grounds Coffeehouse is where you need to be. Who knows, you might just find yourself considering a move to Grange to make this place your local hangout. After all, coffee tastes even better when it’s served with a side of community.
